We have already baptized his mother-in-law and on neighbor. We continue studying with Osbel’s wife. Additionally, I am sending you the photos of the latest baptisms that we have had.

What's Going On? August 2015

USA and Cuba

So much history, so many tears shed by Cubans in both countries. With so much hurt, hope for change begins for some. True unity for Cubans everywhere is in coming to know Jesus.

What's in the future?

We are told, "Everything will happen slowly."  We have been encouraged to continue to share Jesus in Cuba. And to, "wait on God to bring about change."

Lipscomb University Summer Celebration in Nashville, TN
Ammiel, Ro, Rex
from July 1-3rd was a timely event to share information about Cuba and the church there.

Lessons and question-answer panels were conducted for interested partners and friends to learn about the new possiblities in Cuba. Artist, Ro Diaz and Ammiel are both from Cuba but have very different stories.  They are both the same age and both grew up in the Church, one in Miami and the other in Cuba. So interesting hearing their different experiences.

As our broadcast continues weekly in Cuba, we know that Christ's message is the only truly unifying force. This was seen through the meeting of these two brothers in Christ.

Thanks to World Christian Broadcasting for giving us this opportunity to share how our weekly radio broadcast to the Caribbean is making a difference for the people in Cuba.

I Encuentro Internacional de La Iglesia de Cristo in Orlando, FL was a great encouragement!

Over 700 gathered July 9-12th to celebrate their faith in Christ together.  Classes and activites for all ages were provided and several were baptized.

It was wonderful to hear how many are sharing Christ with their friends using media. One elderly lady was so moved and wanted to help, she put $6.00 in the candy basket on the display table.

God is doing mighty things!  A special thanks goes out to Julio and Fior Betia, hosts of one of our radio programs, for organizing this great event.

What's Going On? June 2015

WONDERFUL NEWS!
Traveling to the mission field involves a lot of prayer, planning, and shipping those basic necessities that will help the missionary live and share the message of Jesus in a foreign land.

I remember arriving with Brenda and our two young children to Papua New Guinea, PNG, in December of 1977.  Although we had arrived, it would be months later before our belongings would arrive.  Our earthly “essentials” had been very carefully packed into one small wooden crate and four 55-gallon metal drums, that were welded shut. We waited with great anticipation for their arrival.  Across the Pacific Ocean they floated from exotic port to port.

The day finally arrived, our ship had come in.  We were like children on Christmas morning opening the crate and barrels; we felt like a piece of home had followed us to the mission field.

We are now filled with that same excitement!  World Christian Broadcasting shipped their shortwave technical “essentials” across the Atlantic Ocean, the transmitters arrived, and are now being installed.

The Morgans 1977: missionaries to Papua New Guinea
The final pieces of this enormous
technology/broadcasting puzzle, the transmitters, were loaded on a ship in Houston that sailed and have now arrived at their destination.  Each of the two transmitters was packed in shipping containers the size of a semi trailer.  This is a much larger load than my shipping crates and barrels sent to PNG in 1977, but the anticipation of their arrival has been just as great.

Once the transmitters are installed and tested we will be part of sending the Gospel, via this new station, to: Latin America, the Arab world, Africa, India, and Europe.  This station's capabilities plus the current KNLS in Alaska to China, Russia, and the Pacific Rim countries will create a new connection for the world.  For the very first time, the Gospel will be made available to the entire world through this broadcasting signal.  This will give every individual on our planet access to the hope through Jesus Christ.

This is marvelous!  For me, this is a complete turnaround in media outreach from my former 1977 Papua New Guinea experience, one government radio station and no television.  Rather than spending two and a half days to walk to a remote village to share Jesus, God has gifted us with the capability to use media to span the globe with His message.  It is amazing how God's plans come together!

Matthew 24:14
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations...

Our dream is to make the saving message of Jesus available to all who seek Him. We are working to accomplish this through the use of the media and partnerships with local churches of Christ and their ministries.
